Event Photography London Natural History Museum
Event Photography London Natural History Museum. I was contacted by Atrium to photograph a black tie dinner at the Natural History Museum; an event laid on to thank their staff for a great year. The main focus for the evening was to capture the evening in a natural reportage style.
Over the many years that I have been photographing events I have always had a soft spot for the Natural History Museum. Regardless of the event, the main hall always looks out of this world.
This was the first time that I saw Hope, the blue whale skeleton suspended from the ceiling in the museum’s Hintze Hall who replaced the previous resident, Dippy the dinosaur.
Once the preparations were complete I managed to photograph all the table settings which looked absolutely stunning. Shortly before the guests were served dinner the CEO of Atrium gave a speech. I was lucky to have been given permission to photograph the speech from the bridge. The bridge gives the most amazing view of the Hintze Hall.
