London Event Photographer Science Museum
London Event Photographer Science Museum. It’s been a long time since I visited the Science Museum in London… In fact the last time I was there I was on a school trip!!! I remember it well. So when I received an enquiry about photographing the opening of the very prestigious “Cosmonauts: Birth of the Space Age” exhibition I think you can guess what my reply was…”YES PLEEEEEEASE”
Cosmonauts
The Russians were the first nation to explore space. Cosmonauts: Birth of the Space Age reveals the most significant collection of Russian spacecraft and artefacts ever to be shown in the UK. There are about 150 object in the exhibition that have never left Russia. I also had the pleasure of photographing Dr Valentina Tereshkova who was the first woman (and civilian) to have flown into space and also Russian cosmonaut Sergei Krikalev a veteran of 6 space flights who spent a colossal amount of time in space – 803 days, 9 hours, and 39 minutes to be exact.
The exhibition is open until 13 March. If you have a keen interest in anything to do with Space and space travel – then this is DEFINITELY a must see in my opinion.
