Birthday Party Photographer London. As an Italian raised in London I was excited to be asked to photograph an Anglo-Italian celebration for Natalie’s 18th Birthday party in London. Lots of family and close friends had come together for this special celebration and as an extra surprise; Natalie’s uncle was even able to wish her a Happy Birthday all the way from America via video link.
The Party
The colour theme for the evening was fuscia pink and black, with Natalie wearing a beautiful, eye catching ‘prom style’ full length dress to perfectly compliment her surroundings,and the venue was decorated with a pink and black balloon arch (which also served as a nice back-drop for photographs of the younger guests). A photographic slide show played throughout the party showing childhood pictures of Natalie-Ann alongside her family growing up which provided great entertainment, laughter and some embarrassment I suspect!
The buffet was full to the rafters with an amazing and varied selection of traditional Italian food: Antipasti, Aranchini (rice balls), Insalate, Lasagne. The temptation was almost too much to bear, but ever the professional, I managed to push the thought of the food to the back of my mind. (Well, a little bit further back anyway!!)
Keeping to the colour theme, the cake was also fuscia and black in a cupcake design. After the candles were blown out a balloon net was released over the dance floor and the younger guests were entertained with silly-string – all great fun! Also celebrating birthdays on this special evening were 2 other family members and both presented with their own special birthday cakes, which I thought was such a lovely touch and a great surprise to both of them!!
Time really does fly when you’re having fun and so, at the end of the evening, I thanked the family for their hospitality and for allowing me to photograph Natalie’s very special 18th birthday before making my way home.
