Christening Baptism Photographer London. Leanda contacted me a few months ago about her son’s christening in Lewisham at The Lewisham Parish Church of Saint Mary the Virgin, located just off Lewisham High Street. At first I thought that I was already booked for another christening and was afraid I would have to say no. However with a bit of clever scheduling I was able to fit them both in on the same day, which worked out well as I hate letting clients down. The other bonus was that I was able to share the christening service at Saint Mary the Virgin, which has a great community that works really hard for the church. This was great to see and experience

When I arrived at the church I got straight to work and introduced myself to the priest. After a quick chat I was ready to start photographing Leanda and her family as they prepared for this very special day for their son, who by this time was already full of energy and running about the church keeping all the family members on their toes! Once the service started I worked my way around the church photographing Leanda and her family from near and far. As we approached the christening part of the ceremony I was given permission to photograph from the gallery, which gave me great angles and an amazing perspective. This worked out really well as there were many friends and family present, so I was able to get a unique view of the ceremony.

After the Ceremony

Once the ceremony was over I was invited to photograph the rest of the family, food and celebrations. There was an amazing display of beautiful food, all prepared by Leanda’s family. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Leanda for letting me photograph her son’s christening. I hope you enjoy the photos.
